Helping women leaders, first-generation professionals, and late bloomers gain confidence with money and build a life they love.
Learn to grow wealth, rewrite money stories, and reach financial freedom on your own terms.
MY MISSION
Financial independence isn’t just about numbers.
You should have freedom, confidence, and security.
At Good For You Money, our mission is simple:
To make personal finance education accessible, practical, and empowering, especially for those who didn’t grow up with it.
Rooted in the values of integrity, empowerment, freedom, and community, we help you make informed money decisions and live a life that’s truly good for you.
And yes, it’s a play on “GFY Money", a cheeky Reddit celebration for when you’ve made it. But around here, we’re keeping it rated G for our nieces, aunties, and anyone who wants personal finance to be smart, not bro-ey.
First-gen. Late bloomers. Quiet rebels.
Anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t belong in financial spaces.
If you’ve ever felt behind, left out of the financial conversation, or like money just wasn’t made for people like you, I see you. I’ve been there too.
MY STORY
Linda Ta Yonemoto is a Certified Financial Education Instructor℠ (CFEI®), speaker, coach, and advisor who helps ambitious professionals build wealth from wherever they're starting.
Hi! I'm Linda. I'm a first-generation Southeast Asian American, raised in Los Angeles by refugee parents who immigrated from Vietnam. We didn't talk about money growing up. I was the cultural and linguistic bridge for my family, translating bills, government forms, and life in America.
I put myself through college at UC Berkeley, graduating with a B.A. in Social Welfare funded through scholarships, grants, side jobs, and student loans. Like many Millennials, I entered the workforce during the Great Recession, piecing together three part-time jobs to make ends meet.
For over 14 years, I've climbed the career jungle gym from intern to executive, managing 8- and 9-figure corporate marketing budgets for companies like Zappos/Amazon, L.L. Bean, Versapay, and Tinuiti. I served as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and led national client marketing strategies across industries from FinTech to healthcare.
Managing multimillion-dollar corporate budgets by day, I applied those same strategies to my personal finances by night. The result? Financial freedom at 36 and a passion for teaching others the same shame-free, jargon-free approach.
Today, as a Certified Financial Education Instructor℠ (CFEI®), I work as a speaker, coach, and company advisor, helping ambitious professionals build wealth from wherever they're starting. I've mentored over 100 early- and mid-career professionals navigating corporate career journeys, providing financial education, one-on-one coaching, strategic advisory services, and speaking at events like StartupVegas RISE Up.
These days, I no longer get the Sunday scaries. When I'm not helping others rewrite their money and career stories, I am the gal who goes hiking on a weekday and plans detailed trip itineraries with points & miles travel.
At Good For You Money, we cheer for the late bloomers.
This platform provides others on the journey to financial freedom with education, resources, and tools. I want to help others overcome the overwhelm, beat financial anxiety, and build their own dreams, especially those who consider themselves scrappy DIY'ers.
Do you want to build generational wealth from scratch? If that's you, you're in the right place. You can start from where you are. And it's never too late.
